The Chameleon - is designed as a modular, configurable, patient movement system. It requires only a single rescuer to move a patient from a hazardous or remote/tactical situation to a forward field care site with no appreciable fatigue factor on the rescuer. Chameleon is a collapsible, wheeled rescue stretcher or spine board which is hoistable in both vertical and horizontal configurations. It can be back-packed or even towed behind a bicycle in all weather conditions and can serve as a water rescue platform as well as operating on snow, ice, and sand. Serving as a rapid patient extraction device aimed at wilderness SAR and tactical teams, the basic Chameleon weighs only 16lbs/7kg. See issue 60 for a detailed Product News item.
